Who We Work For

Transport

The adoption of more ubiquitous, faster and more flexible wireless communications is transforming the global transport industry and in a few short years has redefined competitive advantage in the sector.

These new communications channels help successful transport businesses:

  • Create a safer passenger environment – boosting reputation and meeting changing legislation as the EU aims to harmonize approaches to rail safety
  • Improve operational efficiency, keeping passengers happy and meeting regulatory service standards – e.g. Network Rail must ensure 92.6% of trains arrive on time by 2014 (Source: Network Rail Control Period 4)
  • Provide a more productive and entertaining travel environment – with on-board WiFi and better passenger information.

Our transport sector clients come to us for advice on how new services can increase efficiency and attract more passengers.

We were influential in the first launch of WiFi on trains in the UK. Since 2006 we have led a series of global conferences examining these issues. Find out about this year’s conference here

We are also working at the sharp end with major players in the industry on projects to upgrade their communications systems.

Our Transport Practice completed out projects for the RSSB in the UK designed to generate a better understanding of the future demand for broadband services in the UK rail industry.
